Make them fresh water brine shrimps
 A certain amount of tanks, to keep the gene pools well
   Basicly putting an amount of them in other tanks every generation. According to a certain method.

 Adding a little bit of fresh water with every generation
  From sea water to eventually brackish water to eventually fresh water
 Maybe through calculations

Making them amphibious. To maybe even terrestial.

A ramp so water and a ramp towards land
 First a glass ramp or good hard plastic
 and maybe eventually a sand ramp

1 See what they do naturally
2 Put the food on a certain part of the ramp and generation through generation or earlier if possible
  place the food higher

And keep the gene pool well with multiple tanks
 Basicly putting an amount of them in other tanks every generation. According to a certain method.
