Ear, hearing regeneration

Can parts of the ear that provide and or are important for hearing be regenerated.

1 Normally, just by hearing training. Focussing, changing sound volume every here and there to a lower volume.
2 Certain volume acoustic hertz frequencies, for certain periods of time.
